On July 16, 2025, AfricXRJob launched its first onsite training session in Monastir, marking the beginning of the regional training activities and bringing participants together for an introductory exploration of immersive technologies and digital innovation.
The session combined an icebreaker and cohort-building activities with an introduction to the AfricXRJob training program, the TalentVerse platform, and the technologies that participants would explore throughout the training journey.
Participants were introduced to the fundamentals of game engines and digital twins, including their applications beyond gaming across fields such as education, healthcare, architecture, tourism, simulation, and training. The session also explored emerging industry trends in XR, AR/VR integration, cloud streaming, and user-generated content.
The training further introduced participants to the role of data and artificial intelligence in digital twin simulations, covering topics such as live sensor data, predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and optimization.
The session concluded with a demonstration and test of TalentVerse 2.0, giving participants an initial hands-on view of the digital ecosystem developed through AfricXRJob.
The first onsite session brought together 17 participants, establishing a strong foundation for the upcoming technical and practical training activities.
