The first regional onsite training session in Gabès took place on July 17, 2025, at the Higher Institute of Computer Science and Multimedia of Gabès (ISIMG), officially launching AfricXRJob’s training activities in the southern region.

The session introduced participants to the AfricXRJob vision, training curriculum, and TalentVerse platform, while an icebreaker activity helped build rapport among the cohort. Participants were also introduced to the fundamentals of immersive technologies, XR, game engines, and digital twins, with a focus on their growing relevance across different industries.

The training explored how game engines can be applied beyond gaming, as well as the role of digital twins in areas such as smart buildings, disaster simulation, factory automation, energy management, and predictive analysis.

Participants were also introduced to the use of data ingestion and AI models in simulation, including live sensor feeds, predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and optimization. The session provided an initial overview of the technologies and tools that participants would continue working with throughout the training program.

Participants received the training kit, including the session agenda and curriculum overview, along with support for accessing the digital tools and communication channels used throughout the program.

The session was attended by 14 participants and marked a successful launch of AfricXRJob’s regional training activities in Gabès.
