On October 13, 2025, AfricXRJob launched the first online training session for its second cohort, bringing together 28 participants to begin a new learning journey focused on digital innovation and immersive technologies.

The session introduced participants to the AfricXRJob vision, training program, and digital learning environment, while an introductory icebreaker helped establish connections within the new cohort.

Participants explored the fundamentals of XR, game engines, and digital twins, with a focus on their growing applications across different industries. The session also introduced key industry trends, including AR/VR integration, cloud streaming, and user-generated content, highlighting the potential of immersive technologies beyond gaming.

The training further covered the role of data and artificial intelligence in digital twin simulations, including live sensor data, predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and optimization. Participants were also introduced to TalentVerse 2.0 and its role in connecting skills development, employability, and immersive digital experiences.

This first online session marked the beginning of Cohort 2โ€™s training journey, creating a foundation for the technical and practical learning activities to follow.
