The first onsite training session of the AfricXRJob training program took place on July 9, 2025, in Borj Cedria, officially launching the training activities for the cohort.
The session focused on building cohort rapport while introducing participants to the technological and professional context surrounding digital twins, game engines, immersive technologies, and artificial intelligence.
Participants explored key industry trends, including the integration of AR/VR, cloud streaming, and user-generated content, as well as the applications of game engines beyond gaming in sectors such as education, healthcare, architecture, tourism, simulation, and training.
The session also introduced the concept of digital twins and their real-world applications, including smart buildings, disaster simulation, factory automation, energy management, and predictive analysis. Participants were further introduced to the role of data ingestion and AI models in simulation, with examples of predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and optimization.
The training concluded with a demonstration and test of TalentVerse 2.0, allowing participants to discover the digital ecosystem developed within AfricXRJob and its potential to support skill acquisition, employability, resilience, and responsible citizenship.
The session was attended by 14 participants and facilitated by AfricXRJob trainers and technical experts.
