AfricXRJob – Join the Future of Immersive Technologies
Free Certified Training Program
1- General Presentation:
This call for applications aims to select candidates for the AfricXRJob training program, focused on immersive and creative digital technologies. The program is designed to equip young people with the technical and soft skills necessary for careers in 3D production, virtual/augmented reality, and entrepreneurial innovation.
AfricXRJob is an innovative initiative that integrates the digital twin platform TalentVerse, a space dedicated to training, employment, and entrepreneurship. The project fosters collaboration between public and private sectors to create job opportunities and support young people as they transition into the workforce after receiving specialized training.
Selected candidates will undergo training certified by leading global technology companies like Autodesk and Unreal Engine (Epic Games). Upon completion, they will have the chance to engage with potential employers, incubators, and other industry stakeholders through a virtual career fair.
2- Project Coordination and Partners:
AfricXRJob is implemented under SIFA – Skills Initiative for Africa (Window III), funded by the African Union, Germany, and the European Union. The program supports innovative skills development to enhance youth employability in Tunisia and across Africa.
Lead Partner:
NET-INFO is the national grantee and lead coordinator of the project. A leader in immersive technology education in Tunisia, NET-INFO has trained over 40,000 professionals, with a 90% employment rate in fields such as 3D, VR/AR, and digital content creation.
Core Implementing Partners:
- D.A.L.L. (DigiArt LivingLab): A research and innovation lab dedicated to digital creativity and metaverse technologies.
- CREATEC: A Tunisian association promoting digital culture and creative technologies among youth.
Consortium Members:
The project brings together several national institutions, including:
- CONECT Gabès and CONECT Monastir, supporting regional economic integration and private sector engagement.
- CGDR (Commissariat Général au Développement Régional), contributing through its role in local development, especially in Nabeul.
- Technopark Borj Cedria, focused on applied research and innovation.
- University of Monastir and University of Gabès, ensuring academic outreach and alignment with higher education.
All partners contribute to the deployment of TalentVerse, the project’s digital twin platform designed to bridge training, employment, and entrepreneurship.
3 – Training Tracks and Certifications:
The AfricXRJob program offers a comprehensive and hands-on training pathway designed to empower participants with the most in-demand technical and creative skills in the immersive tech sector. Participants will follow specialized tracks and receive internationally recognized certifications.
The training covers the following key areas:
- 3D Modeling and Animation
Master the fundamentals of 3D design and animation using industry-standard tools, including training certified by Autodesk. - Virtual and Augmented Reality Development
Learn how to create immersive experiences using Unreal Engine from Epic Games, leading to official certification. - Gaming and Interactive Media
Dive into the development of gamified applications and interactive content, blending storytelling, UX, and real-time engines. - BIM (Building Information Modeling)
Discover how digital construction models and immersive environments converge to create smarter infrastructure and spaces. - Artificial Intelligence for Creative Technologies
Understand the basics of AI integration in immersive media — including procedural generation, behavioral simulation, and intelligent environments. - Entrepreneurship and Soft Skills
Participants will also receive guidance on project management, communication, and business modeling to develop entrepreneurial mindsets.
Capstone Project: Each participant (or team) will develop a functional prototype aimed at solving a real-world challenge. These projects will be showcased during a virtual career fair within the TalentVerse metaverse, connecting students with companies and incubators.
4- Target Audience and Eligibility Criteria:
AfricXRJob is open to motivated individuals who are eager to build a future in immersive digital technologies, whether as skilled professionals or tech entrepreneurs.
Eligible candidates must:
- Be students, recent graduates, or young professionals.
- Have a basic background or strong interest in one of the following areas:
- ICT, multimedia, architecture, engineering, design, fine arts, gaming, or digital communication.
- Reside in Tunisia (applications are open nationally).
- Be available to actively participate in both online and in-person activities during the program duration.
- Demonstrate motivation to learn, collaborate, and build innovative digital solutions.
Selection will prioritize:
- Gender diversity and inclusion.
- Regional balance across Tunisia.
- Passion for immersive media and entrepreneurship.
- Commitment to completing the full training cycle and final project.
5- Program Format and Calendar
The AfricXRJob training program is designed to be dynamic, hands-on, and adapted to the evolving needs of the digital job market. It combines online sessions, practical labs, mentoring, and project-based learning.
Program Highlights:
- Blended Learning: A mix of online modules and in-person workshops delivered by certified trainers and industry professionals.
- Certifications: Participants will receive training certified by international tech leaders such as Autodesk and Unreal Engine from Epic Games.
- Soft Skills & Entrepreneurship: In addition to technical training, participants will attend sessions focused on career readiness, teamwork, pitching, and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Prototype Development: Teams will work on real-world use-case projects, building functional digital prototypes using immersive technologies.
- Virtual Job Fair: At the end of the program, participants will showcase their work in a virtual exhibition on the TalentVerse digital twin platform, where they can connect with potential recruiters and incubators.
